The 2028 Los Angeles Olympics Will Be The First "Carless" Event In History

The 2024 Paris Olympics should be the first to offer Volocopter's flying taxi service. But due to issues with the municipality, it has now been postponed. With the Paris Olympics coming to an end tonight, the focus is on the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles. One of the interesting things about this event is that it will be the first "non-car" Olympics with all sports venues only accessible by public transport.

This is to follow the steps of Paris where all event venues can be accessed using the subway, commuter trains, buses and trams. With this Los Angeles which will host for the third time will also be a more sustainable sports event.

Among the measures to be taken is to offer 3000 additional buses during the 17-day event. Next, companies operating in Los Angeles will be asked to grant work-from-home leave to staff. With these two measures, the issue of road congestion that is synonymous with Los Angeles can be avoided in 2028.
