Dyson is a brand well known for their bladeless fans, vacuum cleaners and even hair dryers. Recently, the company has shown their latest hardware, which is a floor cleaner called Dyson WashG1.
You may feel that the appearance of the Dyson WashG1 is not that different when compared to previous Dyson vacuum cleaners. At first glance, this may be true, but the way WashG1 works is quite different.
Where the Dyson vacuum cleaner uses a "Cyclone" motor in the handle to suck up dirt on the floor and carpets, most of the cleaning functions of the Dyson WashG1 are located in the cleaning head of this washing machine.
First is a water tank that can store one liter of water that will be used to wet the washing part of this hardware. The second is two brushes that use nylon bristles and microfiber to trap dry and wet dirt from the floor at once.
As described by Dyson, these two brushes will be moistened through 26 hydration areas throughout the parts of these brushes, which then the outer brush made of microfiber will absorb these two types of dirt.
The nylon brush on the inside will then clean the Dson external brush and trap dry dirt in a storage compartment to facilitate the cleaning process later. In fact, for those who do not want to constantly clean this machine, Dyson says that it will come with periodic self-cleaning technology so that the brush and even the tank stay clean for a period of time.
Dyson has also modified the cleaning head of the Dyson WashG1 so that it is easier to clean dirt in crevices that may be difficult to get into and even areas of the floor close to walls.
Introduced globally a few months ago, the Dyson WashG1 will go on sale in the local market starting this September 2024 at a price of RM3399 through Dyson Malaysia's physical stores and online. While waiting for the official sales date of this floor cleaner, you can go to Dyson physical stores to test the Dyson WashG1 first.
