Transferring Files Between Android and Windows Devices Will Be Easier

Quick Share or formerly Nearby Share is Google's best answer to Apple's AirDrop. It not only supports large file transfer and sharing, but also supports sending to many devices simultaneously, has security and privacy and most importantly – it's fast. Recently, Nearby Share will be updated with drag and drop support from Android to Windows.

The file sharing feature with drag and drop has long been available on Samsung, Oppo, Huawei and many more devices either with Phone Link or with its own application. By taking advantage of Nearby Share which is now universal for all Android devices, users can drag and drop files from Android to Windows more easily and quickly using Nearby Share.

This feature is already available from Windows to Android devices, but in the future it will allow users of Android devices with large screens such as tablets or devices with foldable screens to perform drag and drop actions from one application window to the Nearby Share window. On Chrome, Google is also testing a drag and drop feature from the web browser to other applications – maybe it will use the same concept? Let's wait together.
