As a die-hard fan of the One Piece manga and anime series, I never pass up an opportunity to try and buy any One Piece accessory that catches my eye.
So when TTRacing, a gaming furniture brand well known for their range of chairs and gaming tables contacted us to ask if we would be interested in doing a review of their One Piece Collection series of chairs, I didn't hesitate to say yes.

The TTRacing One Piece Collection gaming chair series comes with several model options, including TTRacing Maxx One Piece Luffy Edition, TTRacing Surge X One Piece Zoro Edition, TTRacing Swift X One Piece Nami Edition and TTRacing DUO V4 One Piece Chopper Edition.
For this review, we have asked for the TTRacing Maxx One Piece Luffy Edition gaming chair, because it is the largest gaming chair offered in this collection, and especially because Monkey D. Luffy is the main character of the series.
Installation
The box that stores all the parts of this chair is quite large. If you buy and install it yourself, my recommendation is to at least borrow or buy a trolley to make it easier for you to unload this chair box to your home or office location.
If you have ever installed a TTRacing seat, installing this seat may not be that complicated for you. I haven't assembled a gaming chair in a long time, so I had to go through the manual several times to install some parts correctly, especially the 4D armrest which was a little confusing because it didn't come with a clear identification of which parts should be installed on the right and left side.
Other than that, this chair can be assembled by yourself in 45 minutes to an hour (my experience), and it's definitely faster if you have a friend to help you, especially in attaching the seat to the base.
Oh yes, before I forget, this TTRacing Maxx One Piece Luffy Edition chair offering also comes with a special gift, which is Monkey D. Luffy's straw hat, which can be placed around the head rest of this chair.
Design
As said before, the uniqueness of the TTRacing One Piece Collection chair comes from its design that resembles the characters from the One Piece anime and manga series. For the chair that was sent to us, the TTRacing Maxx One Piece Luffy Edition comes in my opinion with the best design in the series.
This chair usually comes with a red design which is the color of Luffy's shirt itself, and shows some patterns that are definitely familiar to One Piece fans. This includes the "X" shaped scar on Luffy's chest, the letter "D" which is Monkey D. Luffy's middle name and one of the important plot devices in the series.
On the side, Monkey D. Luffy's embroidered name can be seen, along with part of the One Piece world map. The sides show a weave that looks like Luffy's straw hat, and all these aspects combined make it a must-have chair for any One Piece fan.
Experience
There are a lot of things I like about this TTRacing Maxx One Piece Luffy Edition seat. Among the specific details is that the size is large enough to allow me to sit on this chair in various ways, such as sitting normally, sitting cross-legged, sitting cross-legged, and also lying down by bending the back rest as far as 155 degrees.
The use of premium Air Threads Fabric is also very helpful in increasing the comfort of sitting for a long time. After using this chair for about two weeks, I can say that the combination of the comfortable Air Threads Fabric together with the thick sponge provides a comfortable sitting experience no matter how short or long.
I focus on the comfort of using chairs with this fabric because usually many gaming chairs use synthetic leather which for me traps too much heat and causes more serious sweating issues. The use of this material is more comfortable for me and does not cause problems with pumping and sweating.
One issue I see that could happen is that this chair will come with dirty stains that may be more difficult to clean because stains on fabric are harder to clean than synthetic leather, but for now, this can be ignored.
Access to the buttons and levers to adjust the various functions of this chair such as height, recline of the backrest and even the armrests are easily accessible, and I did not have any problems adjusting the position of the parts of this chair.
Ergonomically, I'll be the first to say that this TTRacing chair is more comfortable than many similar offerings out there, but still can't match the long-term comfort of an ergonomic chair developed specifically for office use.
However, this is not to say that this chair is uncomfortable. It's just that I don't really like bucket seats, the use of a lumbar pillow is mandatory to keep your back straight, especially when you sit for long periods of time.
Closing
There is no doubt that the TTRacing One Piece Collection gaming chair, especially the TTRacing Maxx Luffy Edition is the most suitable gaming chair for die-hard fans of the One Piece series. The Maxx model comes in the largest size, and for me is the most worthwhile of all the models they offer.
But it also depends on you whether you like this type of chair or not. Like I said myself, if you're not into bucket seats, it might not be for you, especially with the RM1149 price tag.
