Redmi Pad SE 8.7 is the next affordable Android tablet from Redmi sold for the Malaysian market. Xiaomi Malaysia brings in two variants, namely 4G and WiFi. The screen of this tablet is as the name suggests which is an 8.7-inch FHD+ LCD with a 90Hz refresh rate. Two screen modes Paper and Classic are also included to be suitable for use at any time regardless of lighting conditions.
This tablet is powered by a Helio G85 chip paired with 4/64 GB or 6/128 GB memory and storage options. Speakers are stereo type with Dolby Atmos, 6,650mAH battery with 18W fast charging, 8MP rear camera and 5MP selfie camera. The Redmi Pad SE 8.7 also supports a 3.5mm audio jack connection and expands storage with a micro SD card up to 2TB.
In Malaysia three colors are offered namely Graphite Grey, Aurora Green and Sky Blu. The selling price is RM599 for the Redmi Pad SE 8.7 WiFi 6/128 GB, RM599 for the 4G 4/64GB version and RM699 for the 5G 6/128 GB version. In conjunction with the launch from 23 August to 1 September those who purchase any 6/128 GB model will receive an official protective case worth RM149, or those who purchase the 4/64 GB model will receive a RM50 discount.
