Many websites are now getting smarter about avoiding ad blockers. YouTube has viewing limits if an ad blocker is detected and there are many websites that hide content if this blocker is active. Recently due to a security update on Google Chrome, an ad blocker plugin had to stop its development support.
uBlock Origin will no longer be supported on Chrome as this web browser has been updated with Manifest v3 for a more secure modern plugin. Among them is that the plugin no longer supports remote host access and because uBlock Origin depends on Manifest v2, their developers can't update it unless it's rebuilt. According to them, users still have an alternative to change to uBlock Origin Lite which is indeed built with Manifest v3.
The uBlock Origin plugin for Firefox will remain supported. Support on Chrome will be completely phased out starting last June. Is this an ad blocker plugin you are using?
