Basically, it allows you to use an avatar as an alternative to your WhatsApp profile picture. In simpler terms, you can later use any created avatar as a profile picture without having to replace the existing picture. In fact, the contact only needs to swipe to allow both the picture and the avatar to be displayed at the same time. WhatsApp also confirmed that this feature is similar to what was already offered on Instagram before.
The process of setting it is also easy by just adding an avatar to the space provided. However, it has not been confirmed whether it can also be deactivated again after being activated.
