WhatsApp is now reportedly testing another new feature that will give more control to chat group administrators by allowing them to hide chat groups from public view. Through it, only invited members will be able to see and access conversations in the chat group.
This feature allows users to have more sensitive or specific discussions in chat groups. Additionally, with the ability to hide chat groups, users can focus more on conversations in related chat groups. However, these settings can no longer be changed after the chat group is added to the community to protect the privacy of all members.
The introduction of features like this is seen as one of the steps to increase privacy and control for WhatsApp users. However, in the early stages of the rollout of this feature, it may take time for users to fully understand how and function this new feature works.
For now, this feature is only available to some Beta testers and will be rolled out to the public in the near future.
