Two years ago, Microsoft gave exclusive access to Phone Link to users of Samsung devices for it to function as an ecosystem between Mac and iPhone on Windows computers. Among these features is Instant Hotspot which can automatically activate the Internet sharing feature on Samsung devices for use on Windows computers. Now, it is no longer limited to Samsung as several other Android devices are starting to support it.
This feature was recently found to be usable on OnePlus Open and OnePlus 12 devices. This feature is said not to be usable on all Android devices because it not only requires the Link to Windows app that can be downloaded on the Play Store, but instead it requires Link to Windows which is built into the device's Android system. So far only Samsung, Oppo, OnePlus, realme and Honor have this feature but Instant Hotspot is still limited to these two OnePlus devices only.
