Windows 11 Tests More Comprehensive Power Settings, FAT32 Storage System Support Raised To 2TB

One of the issues plaguing laptop users using the Microsoft Windows 11 operating system is that it comes with relatively limited power setting options. Regardless of whether you're using a charging pad or a battery, you'll need to manually change the power settings to get the best performance and battery life.

Recently, it has been reported that Microsoft has just revealed an expanded power setting option offering through their Windows Insider program that allows users to now choose different power settings when using a charger or battery.

With this mode, users no longer need to manually change the power mode when switching between these two mastering modes and can make the most of the laptop's power without having to waste time changing settings.

In the meantime, those of you who have been using the Windows operating system for a long time must also know about their old system file, which is FAT32. The biggest drawback shown in FAT32 is that it only supports storage with a maximum capacity of 32GB, and to use larger storage, you need to use the NTFS or exFAT file system.

Recently, since it was introduced in 1996, Microsoft has finally updated the file system, and now increases the storage support to 2TB. Right now, there's no reason for you to use the FAT32 file system, unless you keep a lot of old and obsolete electronic accessories that only support FAT32.

Just like the power settings update, this FAT32 file system update is only shown through the Windows Insider program using the latest Canary Build. So far it is not known when, or if these features will appear in the next Windows 11 update.
