Huawei is developing a tri-fold screen phone but they are not the only company doing so. It follows the emergence of rumors linking Xiaomi which is said to have the same plan. The device is expected to be part of the MIX series and a prototype could be shown at least next year during the annual MWC event.
But it is not yet known about the design and what Xiaomi will offer on the device. If true as said this means we can expect significant changes in the foldable phone segment that will be given innovation and better technology in creating a more inclusive user experience.
Huawei's tri-fold screen phone became the talk of the town after it was used by Huawei Manager Ricard Yu on a plane. It is used in open mode with all three screens also open. A camera hole on the leftmost screen with a relatively thin device body is also used. It is similar to the prototype design that was shown by TCL in 2020.
