Three months ago during the Google I/O 2024 event, Google announced Gems for users to create their own AI chatbots with specific tasks. This is like the GPT Store by OpenAI, where chatbots that have been created can then be shared. Gems are a built-in feature of Gemini. Google offers five special chatbots for discussion purposes, job search assistance, helping users with coding tasks, learning coaches and even writing assistants.
To create your own chatbot, users only need to give it a name and instructions for what specific tasks it will perform. Through it, Gemini will be faster to respond and all interactions between users and Gemini will be more focused and not spread to various branches of different topics.
Gems is a special feature for Gemini Advanced users who subscribe to Google One AI Premium as well as for enterprise users. No other information about Gems will be offered widely and also limited to 150 countries only. At the same time, Gemini was also updated with the upcoming Imagen-3 that can return to generating human images.
