YouTube Tests Picture-in-Picture Display For Ads During Live Broadcasts

Ads on YouTube are so annoying, there is no other halal way to stop them other than subscribing to YouTube Premium. Even so, YouTube still loves their users and doesn't want ads to interrupt the video watching experience. A new feature currently being tested is ads displayed in picture-in-picture or PIP mode.

This feature is limited to live streaming only where, content creators can set the ad display location when their session starts. Viewers will see live broadcast content with a full-screen experience while ads play in picture-in-picture mode. This feature will be rolling out to content creators in the coming weeks.

It's interesting enough that this feature was introduced, but it's a pity that it's limited to live broadcast videos only and not regular YouTube videos. If you regularly watch live videos on YouTube this is very useful for you.
