Acer Comes With a Mobile PC With a Video Game Focus – Acer Nitro Blaze 7



It seems that more and more computer manufacturers are starting to get involved with gaming-focused, Windows-based mobile PCs. Today at IFA 2024 taking place in Berlin, Acer has launched Nitro Blaze 7 to compete with MSI Claw, Lenovo Legion Go and ASUS ROG Ally.



Nitro Blaze 7 comes with a 7-inch Full HD screen using an IPS touch panel with a refresh rate of 144Hz AMD FreeSync Premium. For the processing chip, Acer does not use the AMD Z1 features because it chooses the AMD Ryzen 7 8840HS with Ryzen AI, as well as matched with the AMD Radeon 780M GPU which also supports Radeon Super Resolution. For memory and storage, the Nitro Blaze 7 supports up to 16GB LPDDR5x RAM and 2TB M.2 NVMe.



This Acer Windows portable gaming console also comes with Acer Game Space launcher which supports various games from various different platforms. For connectivity ports, Nitro Blaze 7 supports 2x USB4 Type-C 40 Gbps, Micro SD 4.0 card. Then it also supports Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, 2x 1W stereo speakers, 2x D-Mic microphones, 1x 3.5mm audio jack port and a 50.05 Wh battery with 65W charging.



For game control on this Acer's first portable gaming console, it supports standard ones such as ABXY buttons, LB/RB shoulder buttons, LS/RS analog and Hall effect analog LT/RT. The other physical buttons are for the power which is also a fingerprint scanner, the volume button, the Acer Game Space quick access button, the menu and keyboard special buttons and finally the menu button and the Mode switching button.



Acer Nitro Blaze 7 will be sold in the European market from around the end of October to the beginning of November with a price starting at €849 (~RM4,241) for the 512GB model. Each purchase will include a 3-month PC Game Pass subscription. For the Malaysian market, Acer representatives just told us – stay tuned.
