Acer, through their Predator gaming brand, has already entered the desktop computer component sector a few years ago through the introduction of their Predator BiFrost graphics card components. Now, they seem to have started offering desktop computer power supplies as well.
Named the Acer Predator GX850, it is an 850W power supply with an SFX design that allows it to fit into a variety of computer frame sizes, from full-size ATX to Micro-ATX PC frames.
It also comes with ATX 3.0 and PCIe 5.1 standard support, and features a 12VHPWR plug that allows the Predator GX850 to supply power to powerful graphics cards such as NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 Ti and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 directly using the cable.
Not only that, this power supply will also operate without a fan installed if the amount of power used is less than 20 percent of the capacity of this power supply. So if you're just surfing the web or watching videos, this computer will be quieter when in use.
In the meantime, this power supply also comes with a fully modular design, which allows users to use only the necessary cables. This can reduce cable tangles, especially in small-sized PC frames that don't have a lot of space.
Acer seems to have started selling this Predator GX850 power supply for certain markets such as the United States at a price of $130–$140 (~RM600).
