After Telegram's CEO was arrested for a few days by the French authorities due to various abuses on the Telegram platform, now the messaging service provider is making some changes. One of them is on the FAQ section of the service.
Through the new update, Telegram states that all messages will include a report button or "Report", where users can send related reports, and Telegram will take appropriate action related to the reported matter.
This change comes after Telegram previously stated that all conversations are between users only.
The CEO of Telegram himself, through a new update, also informed that Telegram will take more steps in overcoming the problem of abuse and misconduct using the Telegram platform.
Previously, various parties, including Malaysia itself, have reported to Telegram regarding various inappropriate content on the platform, including pornography, gambling and fraud. Under the compliance score that has been released, it puts Telegram at only around 65%, lower than Facebook and Instagram.
