Amazon Echo May Be the First Internet of Things Device to Support AI Chatbots



Amazon is another tech giant that is developing its own generative AI feature. It is expected to arrive next month and is a different service to AI Rufus which has been offered to users in the United States. Recently, the name of Amazon's new AI chatbot has been leaked which is Remarkable Alexa.


Remarkable Alexa or its project name Project Banyan will be the world's first AI chatbot that will be directly integrated into Internet of Things devices. This smarter Alexa is said to be accessible to users on Echo devices. So far, Google Gemini or Apple Intelligence are still missing from any Nest or HomePod products.



One of the remarkable things Alexa can do is Smart Briefing. It uses user interest data in the use of Amazon services and products. Users can get Alexa promotion summaries, daily news summaries, and more with target users will use it every day. Remarkable Alexa is a paid service of $10 (~RM43) per month, but if not paid the old version of Alexa which will be called Classic Alexa remains free to all.
