Android 15 is finally officially launched after it was announced in May with beta testing later on. Android 15 code has now entered the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) database and is accessible to manufacturers who want to use it. Google has confirmed that the Android 15 update will be rolling out to Pixel devices in just a few weeks.
As we previously reported, only Pixel 6 and above devices will receive Android 15. On devices from other manufacturers, the update will be rolled out in stages over the coming months.
Among the new features on Android 15 is the Private space feature that stores certain information and files and cannot be accessed by the system until authorized. Braille support in Talback and saving a combination of two applications in Multi Window mode are also included.
