The Anker MagGo powerbank accessory was introduced last year as a replacement charging tool for their smart devices. This MagGo accessory is small enough and has a large capacity to charge their smart devices.
Recently, Anker seems to have found a serious issue with some of their power banks, especially the models Anker 334 MagGo Battery (PowerCore 10K), Anker Power Bank and Anker MagGo Power Bank with the model names A1642, A1647 and A1652.
Anker says that it has discovered issues with the lithium-ion batteries used in these products. It is seen that the component can overheat and cause other components such as the plastic frame to melt and emit dangerous fumes.
Because of this, Anker has issued a warning for users of the products mentioned above to stop using them, and to return the products to Anker, where they will then be replaced with new products at no extra charge.
You can go to the Anker website and enter the series number of your Anker MagGo product affected by this recall.
For now, this statement seems to apply in select regions such as America, Europe and Australia. Anker is also in the Malaysian market, and we have asked them if Malaysian customers should take note of this matter, and will update this article for the readers' further knowledge.
