Apple Intelligence is not yet available to all users and will be available as an iOS 18.1 update next month. For those who are excited to use this feature, Apple confirms that Apple Intelligence requires 4GB of storage on the iPhone before it can be used.
This is because like the Apple Intelligence model it operates directly on the device and it requires quite a lot of storage. It can generate images based on proms, generate new emojis through Genmoji and provide writing assistance through Writing Tools.
This is the same thing as Gemini on the Google Pixel 9 Pro device which also takes up the device's storage space. So far only the required storage size on the iPhone has been revealed. No storage information is required on iPad and Mac computers when this article is written.
In the document provided with the iOS 18.1 Beta being tested, Apple once again confirmed that Apple Intelligence is only supported on the iPhone 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max, and all four iPhone 16 models.
