Apple today introduced an update to their smartphone series, through the iPhone 16. This new generation model brings major changes in performance and energy consumption through the use of the A18 chip – different from the A16 in the previous iPhone 15.
This additional processing power also offers artificial intelligence support along with it, called Apple Intelligence. Apple says the iPhone 16 is designed specifically for this arena of artificial intelligence. Through Apple Intelligence, users can enjoy a number of things, including summary on notifications, improved Siri, and other integrations. This Apple Intelligence integration also allows you to write well, in addition to generating a number of graphics directly on the device. However, this Apple Intelligence feature will be introduced gradually from October 2024.
On the design of the iPhone 16, although it offers more or less the same design as the previous iPhone 15, but this time it also comes with a selection of special action buttons on the side that can be linked with an application – making it a shortcut button to access a setting or application.
In addition, the iPhone 16 also includes a camera control button on the side, allowing you to use it to quickly access the camera application, or take better photos.
As before, two models are offered under the iPhone 16, namely iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus - respectively at 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch sizes. It includes a 48-megapixel main camera on the back that allows you to capture clearer pictures through it. Apple says the iPhone 16 brings a larger battery size, allowing users to use it for longer than before. Satellite emergency communication integration support is also included with this iPhone 16 – but limited to a few markets only, in addition to being equipped with WiFi 7 support.
In Malaysia, local users can get it from 20 September 2024, at prices starting at RM3999 for the iPhone 16, and starting at RM4499 for the iPhone 16 Plus.
