Earlier this morning, Apple launched the iPhone 16 family. It comes with a new camera system, new physical buttons, a more powerful A18 chip and also a cheaper launch price. As everyone knows, iPhone 12 and above supports Qi2 magnetic wireless charging system but Apple still has no official Qi2 charger until today. MagSafe Charger has been updated with the latest standards and even faster power.
With third-party or old Qi chargers, charging power is limited to 7.5W only. Qi2 brings faster charging support up to 15W, but specifically for iPhone – this new accessory can provide up to 25W charging power if using Apple's official 30W charging plug (with PD). While for 15W power, it needs a 20W charger plug. Apple offers two versions, one with a length of 1 meter at a price of RM219 and RM249 for a length of 2 meters.
This new MagSafe charger supports iPhone 8 and up, as well as all AirPods with wireless or MagSafe charging. For now, sales and delivery dates for the Malaysian market have not yet been revealed.
