ARM Has Also Bid To Buy Parts Of Intel Products

Lately, it has been seen that Intel has received several acquisition offers, particularly from Qualcomm which is reportedly willing to bid several tens of billions of dollars to do so. But the offer was apparently rejected, and nothing happened.

Reuters has recently reported that ARM, the company that develops the technology behind the processing chips that power most smart devices around the world, also appears to have bid to take over one of Intel's main divisions, the product division.

It is understood that ARM is interested in taking over the division involved in the design and marketing of X86 processor chips, but does not want the company's processor chip production division.

Intel is also reportedly going to separate the company into a processing chip manufacturing division and a product division, and it is the latter division that ARM wants to take over. Unfortunately no further details are known about the offer in terms of payment and what are the terms set for the purchase.

For now, Arm and Intel have also not given any statement on this matter. Intel is now seen to be actively developing their new factory in Arizona which will be the main manufacturer of processing chips manufactured with the 18A process for the time being.
