Last week, OpenAI introduced their latest artificial intelligence model with better reasoning support, named o1. Several variations were introduced, including the o1-mini. After being introduced in a limited way to paid users of ChatGPT Plus, now OpenAI also allows free users of ChatGPT to try the new model.
Access to the o1-mini model is offered on a limited basis, allowing you to ask a few questions, before it reverts to another model after the daily usage limit is reached. As always, OpenAI encourages users to subscribe to the service to continue using the model.
