Details About AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme Processing Chip Leaked

AMD is expected to introduce their AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme series of processing chips early next year with a new mobile PC gaming console offering that uses the processing chips.

Recently, it seems that some internal details about the processing chip have been leaked to the web arena, which says that this Ryzen Z2 Extreme chip will use a combination of AMD Ryzen Zen 5 processing cores and also AMD RDNA 3.5 graphics chip.

In terms of the number of cores, the Ryzen Z2 Extreme chip will apparently feature eight physical cores, similar to what was shown on the Ryzen Z1 Extreme chip. In terms of graphics components, it is seen that this chip uses 16 CU RDNA 3.5, four more than the Radeon 780M graphics chip used in the Ryzen Z1 Extreme.

Through the documents shown as well, it is highly likely that this AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme will come with a TDP value of 28W, 13W higher than the Z1 Extreme, but possibly with much greater performance.

So far no PC gaming consoles have been announced that will use this AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme processing chip, but it would not be surprising if ASUS and Lenovo would use this chip to update their existing consoles.
