Garmin fēnix 8 is now in Malaysia as another new rugged watch. It is available in two different display options either equipped with memory-in-pixel (MIP)(MIP) with solar charging priced at RM5,720 (47mm) and RM6,240 (51mm) each. Meanwhile, models without solar panels are sold at a lower price starting at RM5,199 (43mm), RM5,720 (47mm) and RM6,240 (51mm) each. Availability starts now with purchase through authorized Garmin dealers throughout Malaysia.
The design is the focus this time with it being more durable than the previous version. It has special protection for the sensors and control buttons on the side. It also passes military standard tests for heat, shock and heat resistance. Gamin Fenix 8 can also be taken to dive up to 400 meters, while offering upgraded Scuba and Apnea Mode for better use of water activities.
There's also a built-in speaker and microphone for both the Fenix 8, followed by support for QZSS and BEIDOU global navigation systems. Garmin also provides built-in flashlight support for any night or low-light activities. It also has smart notification features and support for non-cash payments through Garmin Pay.
Also complementing it are health features and a built-in sports mode that allows users to stay healthy. Followed by the support of a strength training plan that can span eight weeks and be tailored to help users meet their individual fitness goals. The battery used can last up to 21 days for the standard version and increases to 28 days for the Fenix 8 (Solar). Garmin also claims that this solar technology can absorb light from the sun 50% better than previous models.
All the mentioned features have been loaded into the body of a 1.3-inch AMOLED watch with a resolution of 260 X 260 pixels. A total of three frame size options are also available, either 43mm, 47mm and 51mm for both Fenix 8 models in Malaysia.
