GoPro today announced two new action cameras, the HERO (2024) and HERO13 Black in Malaysia. Each of these cameras offers unique new features built on GoPro's proprietary proprietary technology. For example, the HERO 13 Black features a lens system that can automatically change settings, GPS support and a larger battery. Meanwhile, HERO (2024) is the smallest and lightest camera ever produced by GoPro with 4K image quality.
The sale price starts at RM999 for GoPro HERO (2024). Meanwhile, GoPro HERO13 Black is offered at a price of RM1,999 for the camera only and the Creator Edition is increased to RM3,199 with Volta Power Grip, Media Mod and Light Mod given together.
HERO 13 Black can capture still images at a resolution of 27MP and record video at a resolution of up to 5.3K (60fps) in an 8:7 ratio using the same 1/1.9″ CMOS sensor as the HERO12 Black. The camera's built-in HyperSmooth 6.0 digital image stabilization technology is even better, with the new feature of 400FPS/720P slow-motion video capture.
The lens system is interchangeable
The most interesting improvement on this year's model is the interchangeable lens system meaning it can automatically identify the appropriate mode for any shot to be taken. Also redesigned with a larger 1,900mAh Enduro battery for long endurance in all conditions along with a built-in GPS feature that can track time, date, location, speed and altitude.
Brand new camera mount
In the meantime there are also additional accessories such as Contacto Magnetic Door and Power Cable Kit that allow this camera to work even if there is no battery inside using an external power source. GoPro also added a number of multi-purpose Lens Modes, the Hero Black (HB)-Series which includes Ultra-Wide Lens Mod, Macro Lens Mod, Anamorphic Lens Mod and ND Filter 4-Pack which is a must-have accessory for every content creator. Finally, GoPro also made some modifications to the camera mounting system which is now easier to use but is sold separately.
HERO (2024) is the smallest and lightest 4K camera GoPro has ever produced. It offers a compact design with a weight of only 86-grams. It can also capture still images at 12MP resolution and record video at up to Ultra HD 4K resolution with HyperSmooth stabilization technology.
Then it's also waterproof up to 4.87m (16 feet) and built tough enough to withstand a variety of usage conditions whether it's mud, snow, water or just exploring a new city. In terms of battery life, GoPro claims that the HERO (2024) can record continuously for up to 100 minutes at the highest video settings on a single charge.
