HTC Vive is a set of virtual reality accessories that usually comes with a focus on gaming. HTC and Valve have collaborated to develop this headset to make gaming using virtual reality technology a reality, and the HTC Vive Focus Vision is their latest attempt in that direction.
It is the latest version of the HTC Vive Focus headset, which previously showed a focus on industrial uses such as education, collaboration between companies and various types of mixed reality applications.
Among the new features shown on the Vive Focus Vision include eye tracking and automatically calculating the distance between the pupils, two 16MP cameras that provide a clear picture when using pass-through mode, a 120 degree viewing angle and a 90Hz refresh rate to reduce the feeling motion sickness and dizziness when using this headset.
What's interesting about the Vive Focus Vision is that it now comes with support for wireless use, or with a DisplayPort cable to get higher graphics rates. In the meantime, the Vive Focus Vision will also feature a 120Hz refresh rate via DisplayPort in a future update.
HTC also says that if you have a lot of SteamVR games in your collection and have a powerful gaming desktop or laptop, you can use DisplayPort mode directly on the graphics card to get a really immersive gaming experience.
Pre-orders for the HTC Vive Focus Vision are already open at €1,229.00 (~RM5800) and if you pre-order now, you can get the Vive Wired Streaming Kit for free as well.
