Intel just launched their Intel Core Ultra 200V “Lunar Lake” series of processing chips today in conjunction with the IFA event in Berlin, Germany. With this, it is also seen that many laptop maker brands will introduce their own offerings soon.
In fact, Intel itself announced that most of these brands will start selling laptops powered by Intel Core 200V processing chips starting September 24, 2024. With this series of processing chips, Intel introduces as many as nine new CPU SKUs, from the Intel Core Ultra 9 288V to the Intel Core Ultra 226V which all come with 8 cores and 8 power threads with at least 16GB of LPDDR5X memory.
Laptop brands such as Acer, ASUS, Dell, MSI, Samsung and LG have showcased their offerings, with Intel also saying that pre-orders for these laptops will begin today for select markets such as the United States and also Europe first.
We had the opportunity to see some of these laptop models, such as ASUS ZenBook S, Dell XPS 13 and also Acer Swift 14 AI, all of which are now powered by Intel Core Ultra 200V processing chips. On average, all of them said that their laptops could play videos on battery power for at least 20 hours without a problem.
For now, we are still waiting for confirmation on when these laptops will start hitting the local market.
