The iPhone 16 series was just announced last week with four different models available for all of them. However, what is being talked about on social media is regarding iPhone 16 users who are starting to face some problems with their devices.
Average users voiced their complaints regarding the device's screen failing to work well including lag issues and undetectable touches. It is further stated that the iPhone 16 screen does not respond when touched which then affects other uses such as scrolling, pressing buttons and letters on the keyboard. The issue is also claimed to occur frequently on the right side of the screen which is also the location for the new Camera Action button.
There are many assumptions as to why this happens, among which it is due to a bug in the software and not a problem with the hardware. In particular, iOS's mistouch algorithm is too sensitive to make the touch undetectable. In addition, the smaller bezel size can also be the cause due to the possibility of accidental contact.
The only recommendation given so far is to use a protective case that is believed to reduce the possibility of accidentally touching the edge of the screen. At this time it only occurs in small amounts. Apple is believed to resolve this with an upcoming software update.
