Kaspersky Software Replaced With UltraAV Without Warning To US Users

As you know, the United States government has banned the use and updates for Kaspersky Labs PC security software in the middle of this year, and by September 29, it should be completely deleted.

Kaspersky Labs also closed their office in the United States around last July, and now, as the last "update" of the software, it has been reported that many users of the security software have recently discovered that it has been removed and replaced with a new security software, namely UltraAV.

A few weeks ago, Kaspersky sent an email to their existing users in the United States saying that their security software could be replaced with UltraAV, which would continue to protect their computers.

However, what happened was that the Kaspersky Labs software was replaced by UltraAV without any input or permission from the user. Many Kaspersky users have previously been surprised to see that their computer is now using UltraAV when they did not or had not changed it.

Kaspersky Labs has also issued a statement on this matter through their forum, and there are questions as to why some customers overseas are also affected by this issue.

Kaspersky responded that this change of security software occurs if it detects a license distributed for US users. If any customers abroad are affected by this issue, it is because the license used is for US users. They have also asked affected non-US customers to send a report to their customer service department.
