The Minister of Communications, Fahmi Fadzil has now informed which company or operator selected to develop the second 5G network in Malaysia will be announced in a few weeks.
For now, the process is in the last week phase, before SKMM finalizes the research regarding the tender process.
The selected operating company will be responsible for the development of both countries' 5G networks, and will have to offer services that are no more expensive than what DNB offers. In addition, the quality of service and offering must also be equivalent and as good as that provided by DNB, or better than it.
Previously, as many as four companies had submitted their respective bids for the development of the two countries' 5G networks, including CelcomDigi, Maxis, Telekom Malaysia and also U Mobile.
