Performing Umrah by yourself (DIY) is an attractive and cost-saving option. There is no denying that the preparation for it is a little complicated and laborious since many things need to be taken into account. It includes booking tickets, hotels and travel documents that also need to be managed by yourself in order to realize the dream of reaching the city of Mecca.
Due to the increasing awareness and demand, Muslim Pro started offering new services that make it easier to perform Umrah including the necessary preparations before leaving until understanding the steps involved.
Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Bitsmedia, the developer and publisher of Muslim Pro and Qalbox, Nafees Khundker said that the function is offered in the UK first for now and is expected to arrive for users in Malaysia by the end of 2024.
Sharing further, said Nafees, the function not only allows users to book Umrah packages easily in one application. It can even be customized to meet each individual's specific needs including travel dates, choice of hotel category and additional services.
Meaning users can customize the trip by choosing a package that matches their preferences. Interestingly, the visa application process is also part of the package with the user only having to provide all the important documents required.
To date, Muslim Pro has recorded an impressive achievement of surpassing 170 million users worldwide, which is also celebrating its 15th anniversary with various exciting initiatives. Not only that they always see Malaysia as the main growth driver for this application because of the influential Muslim community in Malaysia.
In addition, Muslim Pro also celebrated its 15th anniversary by launching two global initiatives that reflect its commitment to the world's Muslim community. First is the Global Adhan competition which is open to all Muslims around the world.
It is held through social media platforms TikTok and Instagram, where participants can submit their best call to prayer clips through duets or remixes of content uploaded by Muslim Pro.
As part of its commitment to create a more inclusive world, Muslim Pro also launched the Al-Quran Braille Project which aims to provide the Al-Quran in Braille format for Muslims who are visually impaired.
This project aims to collect US$100,000 to distribute Al-Quran Braille sets containing 30 volumes, digital pen readers, chargers and earphones to recipients in Indonesia, India and Egypt.
