The Boeing Starliner space capsule mission was supposed to last only 8 days but due to various issues two crews had to wait until February 2025 to return to earth. This Friday NASA will try to return the Starliner to earth without a crew. While making preparations two days ago, a strange sonar-like sound was heard in the cockpit causing another mystery.
NASA today issued a statement that they have successfully located the source of the sound. It is simply the audio feedback in the communication system between the Starliner and the International Space Station (ISS). The audio configuration used caused it to happen and it has been resolved. Therefore the mission to return Starliner to earth will go according to schedule.
Even though the sonar-like audio source has been detected, there are still conspiracy theories saying it is a "space ghost" and some believe it is a signal sent by aliens.
