How many? They have received millions of new user registrations, starting with 500,000 then to one million and recently they have 2 million new users. Not only that, because of this also indirectly this open source social media platform has become the number one application in Brazil with Threads being in second place.
Bluesky was developed together with the founders of Twitter with the idea of being a competitor that focuses on honest content, no political issues and no spread of fake news. It is also open source using ActivityPub so that competing platforms like Mastodon and Threads can communicate with each other.
