The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE was officially announced later tonight with it being another device in the FE series that offers flagship features on a more affordable device. This year a change is made as it is equipped with a larger 6.7″ Dynamic AMOLED 2X 120Hz screen compared to the 6.4″ screen used on the previous Galaxy FE model.
The screen is matched with an Exynos 2400e chip which is a chip whose power is slightly reduced compared to the Exynos 2400 used on the Galaxy S24+. The chip is paired with 8GB RAM memory, up to 512GB storage and a 4700 mAh battery with 25W charging
On the part it uses a 50 MP wide-angle lens with OIS, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens and an 8MP telephoto lens with OIS that can perform optical zoom up to 3X. On the front, a 10MP sensor is used for the selfie camera.
The operating system used is One UI 6.1.1 based on Android 14. Samsung provides support for 7 versions of Android updates and 7 years of security patches for the first time on Galaxy FE series devices.
Through One UI 6.1.1 Galaxy AI features such as Sketch to Image, image editing, Composer, Note Assist and Live Translate can be used. This puts the AI features on the S24 FE on par with those offered on the Z Fold6 and Z Flip6.
The body of the device passes IP68 dust and water resistance standards, has an under-screen fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, Vision Booster mode, NFC, and Gorilla Glass Victus+ durable screen.
In Malaysia, the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE is offered at a price of RM3299 for the 8/256 GB model and RM3899 for the 8/512GB model. It can already be purchased today in Blue, Graphite, Gray and Mint color options.
