Samsung is reported to be interested in buying Nokia's communications equipment business

Nokia no longer sells smartphones with the name licensing rights not continued with HMD this year. Nokia's report will also appear to sell their communication equipment business to Samsung. According to Bloomberg, the two communications giants are talking with Samsung to take over the business from Nokia for $ 10 billion.

If Samsung took over the business of Nokia's communications equipment, they would be able to compete for Ericsson and Huawei in the Radio Access Network (RAN) segment required by mobile phones. Samsung Networks, a subsidiary of Samsung Electronics will also be the world's second largest manufacturer of communication equipment with 25.6%.

Samsung is not a big name at this time but their equipment has been used by O2, Reliance Jio, KDDI, NTT Docomo, Verizon and Vodafone in the UK. Over the past three years have also been able to hold some of the world's fastest mobile internet speed records in the 6G test.
