As you already know, many toll plazas around the Klang Valley, Selangor and Kuala Lumpur are now present with support for payments using debit cards through terminals provided by digital payment gateway company PayNet.
To date, it has been reported that as many as 152 toll lanes on the KESAS, LDP, SMART, SPRINT and other highways can utilize existing debit and credit cards to pay for them. Recently, PayNet, together with the People's Highway Authority has signed a collaboration to give back to the people who are in dire need with the Senduhan Ikhlas campaign.
This campaign aims to ease the burden of this group with a cash donation of RM500 thousand to Yayasan MyKasih after five million MyDebit transactions have been made within two months. According to the Chief Executive Officer of ALR Group, Sazally Bin Saidi, this distribution will be done in stages depending on the achievement of MyDebit transactions at tolls as follows:
RM100,000 after 1 million transactions are achieved;
RM150,000 on 2.5 million transactions achieved; and
RM250,000 when reaching 5 million transactions.
This campaign starts today, 24 September 2024 and will run for two months to get five million transactions during that period through KESAS, LDP, SPRINT and SMART tolls.
When the RM500 thousand has been received by Yayasan MyKasih, it will be distributed to 1000 families in need, and these funds will be deposited directly to the family representatives. A sum of RM100 will be given to them every month for five months after this money is received.
You can visit the Sentuhan Ikhlas website which explains more details about this campaign, and also shows a counter that counts how many MyDebit transactions were made during this campaign.
