Following on from Telegram's CEO being arrested by the authorities a few weeks ago, the messaging service is now starting to make some changes to how they operate. Through the latest change, Telegram's CEO now says they will provide a user's IP number, along with their phone number to authorities if requested or required.
With this step, Telegram will cooperate more with the authorities in fighting illegal and dangerous things on the platform.
This move is different from before where Telegram let various things happen on their platform without any responsibility. Parallel to this change, Telegram will also add surveillance support based on artificial intelligence, in identifying dangerous and illegal sharing.
