Today suddenly the ArtStation site has started to be blocked in Malaysia. There is no information as to why the page displaying the digital art portfolio was blocked because no statement was issued by the MCMC. We became aware of the site being blocked today after seeing tweets sent by social media users since early this morning.
ArtStation cannot be accessed using some of the country's major ISPs such as Time Fiber and CelcomDigi. If the URL is entered into the browser, it does not move with the page as if it tried to load several times but failed. The only way to access ArtStation is to use DNS.
But it is not known until when this method can be used to bypass obstacles because some ISPs will start blocking the use of DNS to access sites prohibited by SKMM. The reason given earlier is that it blocks porn sites. ArtStation is a site that artists use to upload portfolios of their work to get jobs. So the impact of blocked sites is that local artists have to find other sites to upload their work.
