X Tests Teleconferencing Features To Compete With Zoom and Google Meet

Last week, we reported that X was developing a teleconferencing feature built into their platform. This is to compete with Zoom and Google Meet and realize X's dream as a one-for-all platform. Recently one of the X developers, Chris Park has confirmed this feature is now in the testing stage.

This feature will use the name X Conference with a similar interface used in Teams and Meet. In addition, X Conference will have a better notification display feature of participants exiting/entering, can pin the main participant and other participants, then during the teleconference session - the screen will not take the user to the main screen every time someone speaks.

So far X Conference is just a normal teleconferencing application. Their competitors such as Zoom can now support up to 1 million simultaneous participants. Meet, on the other hand, can take notes automatically and use an AI avatar as a substitute for yourself if you are busy.

For now it is still uncertain when the X Conference will be launched to the public. It is also not known if it is a free feature or limited to X Premium subscribers only. Let's wait together.
