Xiaomi Buds 5 was also announced a while ago with a pair of TWS earphones that come with not only the flagship ANC feature but aptx Lossless codec support to enjoy audio streaming at high resolution.
Buds 5 are of the type of open earphones without silicon buds. There are two drivers on each bud and there is pressure support on the stem to control music players or answer phone calls. The noise canceling system (ANC) is an adjustable type that changes the level of muted surround audio automatically. Each audio bud also passes the IP54 standard allowing it to be used during sports.
Support for 360-degree spatial audio, Dolby Atmos and also support for tethering to two devices simultaneously is also included by Xiaomi. One interesting feature advertised is that by pressing the stalk of the audio bud, phone calls can be recorded without having to access the smartphone.
Through the included battery, up to 6.5 hours of use can be enjoyed or 39 hours with charging pod support. For first time fans, gaming mode reduces the audio time to around 50 ms only. Xiaomi Buds 5 is sold at a price of RM379 in Black, Titanium and White.
