YouTube today introduced a better content control feature for parents to control the content watched by teenagers and the so-called 'Family Center Hub'. Through it, parents can link their account with their child's account to get notifications and information related to the type of video content being watched.
The feature also allows parents to view their teen's channel activity including the number of uploads, subscriptions and comments. Parents will also receive email notifications about important things like when their child uploads a video or starts a live stream.
A new feature like this is one of the steps in YouTube's ongoing commitment to improve the safety of using the platform in addition to giving greater control to parents to monitor their children's activities.
