YouTube is now seen increasing the subscription price for YouTube Premium in Malaysia. This increase is seen in parallel with the increase made by YouTube in several countries over the past few months. The price increase this time also involves the Singapore market in addition to the Malaysian market.
In Malaysia, YouTube Premium individual plan is now offered at a price of RM20.90 per month, while a family plan is offered at a price of RM41.90 per month which allows sharing with 5 family members. Previously, the individual plan was offered at a price of RM17.90 per month, while the family plan was priced at RM33.90 per month.
The student plan also shows a price increase to RM12.90 per month compared to RM10.90 per month previously.
Through YouTube Premium, users can enjoy access to videos without any advertising, the ability to download and watch offline, play videos in the background while using other applications, and even access to YouTube Music.
