Adobe Photoshop Updated With Some New Generative AI Features

Several announcements about Photoshop were also made at last night's Adobe Max event. Previously as you already know, Photoshop has a Generative Fill feature that can generate images in the space selected by the user. Now Generative Fill is further strengthened with new cir and the latest Firefly Image 3 model.

Photoshop will have a Find Distractions feature that automatically finds elements in the image that can be removed. With just one click these elements will be removed and replaced with more compatible elements. For example individuals in the background and tangled cables can be deleted automatically.

Through Firefly Image 3, the Generative Fill, Generative Expand, Generate Similar, and Generate Background features can generate images that look more realistic. Among the things we noticed with all the above tools is that often times the generated replacement images look strange and sometimes the process of deleting elements is messy when compared to doing it manually.

Generate Similar is now powered to generate more consistent images based on a given prom. Users who don't want large changes between each generation will see significant changes when using Generate Similar.

In addition to this feature, 32-bit image support is further expanded to support HDR image editing. More tools in Photoshop now support 32-bit mode such as Dodge Tool, Burn Tool, Magnetic Lasso and Patch. For those who want to try all these features early, you can download the Photoshop Beta today.
