In today's modern world, coupled with the rapid development of technology has affected almost all aspects of human life. By leveraging the latest technology also brings changes to existing warehouse management processes and creates new services and increased efficiency in services.
This is said to be so because a local company, AFM Fulfillment today launched smart warehouse management through the use of robots. It is used to help carry out certain tasks with minimal manpower.
It includes the process of storing and sending logistics goods when going through the stages of the supply chain management process. This robot has been designed in a medium size and portable to automate the movement of logistics goods, making it suitable for warehouses with dynamic layouts.
According to a representative of AFM Fulfillment, so far 8 robots have been produced and are seen to help maximize productivity without increasing operating time. It is also very helpful especially in increasing the amount of warehouse deliveries drastically, in addition to making the workflow more directed and the process of getting results better.
According to him, this robot can work for eight hours before it automatically returns to a dedicated dock for the recharging process. Normally each robot will be recharged when the battery is at 40% level and a specific warning is given to the appropriate system. Also loaded are various sensors and control algorithms that make it possible to quickly monitor and correct the operating process.
It includes adjusting its route, avoiding obstacles and optimizing delivery routes in real time. The system used also supports central dispatch with multi-machine support in ensuring orderly operations even in large-scale environments. In addition, it is designed to lift loads with a load capacity of about 800kg.
It is also understood that so far there are no plans to offer it to external parties but instead only use it in AFM Fulfillment's own warehouse. For future planning, AFM Fulfillment aims to be able to establish strategic cooperation with ministries, agencies and stakeholders in the development of future entrepreneurs. Next, help domestic economic growth and produce more entrepreneurs in Malaysia.
