The CEO of Amazon AWS, which is the cloud computing division of Amazon, now says that employees who don't want to go back to office work entirely can quit and go to another company. The partnership comes after it was announced that all employees will have to return to full-time office work effective this January.
Previously, since the previous Covid-19 outbreak, various companies have implemented hybrid work methods. However, since this year, technology companies have begun to enforce a full return to work in the company.
The CEO of AWS himself stated that product innovation is less likely to occur when not working face-to-face. Discussions are also said to be quite difficult, especially when it comes to new product development – such as not agreeing on a certain direction, etc.
However, at the same time, this matter is not very popular with some employees who say it involves a waste of time when they have to go to the office.
