Anuar Fariz Fadzil was today announced as the Chief Operating Officer (CEO) for Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC). Previously, Anuar Fariz held the position of Head of Public Policy at TikTok Malaysia. He started his duties as CEO of MDEC starting today.
Through the LinkedIn page, Anuar Fariz has also served as a special advisor to the CEO of Celcom Axiata, in addition to being a special officer to the Minister of MITI between 2013 and 2017.
Speaking about it, the new MDEC CEO said this position provides an opportunity to be involved in the development of the digital economy. He also emphasized that he will no longer be involved with TikTok Malaysia in parallel with the appointment of this new position.
