Apple today introduced an update to their compact computer, the Mac Mini. Interestingly, this new Mac Mini comes with a more compact and smaller design than the previous generation. It measures just 5-inches x 5-inches, but by using the Apple M4 chip, it offers far more powerful processing power than previous Mac Minis.
In addition to the basic model powered by the Apple M4, Apple also offers a powerful version, using the Apple M4 Pro chip. It comes with a choice of up to 14 processing cores, in addition to a choice of up to 20-core GPUs. This at the same time allows users to perform various tasks that require high processing power without problems using this Mac Mini M4 Pro. The M4 Pro model also comes with Thunderbolt 5 support for data transfer.
Despite its compact size, it still maintains access to several ports. The Mac Mini comes with two USB-C ports on the front, as well as a 3.5mm audio jack. On the back, it includes three Thunderbolt 4 ports on the M4 option, or three Thunderbolt 5 ports on the M4 Pro option. It also comes with Gigabit Ethernet and HDMI support. Apple says the Mac MIni is capable of supporting up to three 6K displays via the M4 Pro, or two 6K displays + one 5K display on the M4 option.
In Malaysia, the Mac Mini M4 is offered at a price starting at RM2499, while the Mac Mini with M4 Pro is priced starting at RM5999. This model also supports Apple Intelligence through the latest MacOS.
