One of the improvements that Malaysians always request is for public transport services, especially public buses and also KTM and LRT services.
During the presentation of Budget 2025, Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim has announced that Prasarana, the local public service operator company has started the procurement process of public transport vehicles, especially buses and trains.
He said that this year, Prasarana has acquired 250 electric buses for use throughout the country which will be used later, and has started the process of acquiring 12 train carriages for KTMB services. It seems that next year as well, as many as 50 more train carriages will be acquired on lease through the cooperation of the Malaysian government together with China.
Increasing access around the Klang Valley by adding special bus lanes on Jalan Ipoh, Jalan Cheras and Jalan Gombak along 47 kilometers is also planned next year.
